In Antequera Parilli & Rodriguez we support our allies!
Last April 27, in the company of Fundacion KPMG, Trabajo y Personas and the law firm Palacios, Torres y Korody, we had the opportunity to share a morning at the spaces of Fundacion Bigott located in the heart of the colonial zone of Petare. The four organizations toured such spaces and learned about the activities carried out by the institution.
Founded in 1981, Fundacion Bigott, belonging to Cigarrera Bigott, has been dedicated for 37 years to show and disseminate the different expressions and contents of the Venezuelan cultural heritage, and serve as a bridge between traditions and Venezuelans.
“Culture is an intangible asset so great that it can be expressed in different ways,” said Karina Zavarce, the general manager of the Foundation while talking about the scope of the institution, as well as the various courses and workshops held there, focused on musical expressions.
Such expression were actually lived, sang and danced by the attendees, since part of the experience was about learning on the art of tambores (drums), dance and singing typical of the Venezuelan coasts.
In different stations, they were taught about the different elements that make up this artistic expression, so they learned to sing, to play the drums and finally to dance the tambores.
Finally, we talked about the new vision of Fundacion Bigott and how we were protagonists and, through the orange economy, we will be multiplying factors of cultural enterprises that will serve as a point of advance for the country.
