Ricardo Enrique Antequera is a graduate of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello with more than 25 years of experience designing and implementing strategies for the protection, enforcement, management and monetization of intangible assets in Venezuela and internationally.

His practice focuses on cross-border matters involving trademarks, patents, copyright, image rights, licensing, technology transfer and the international protection of intellectual property portfolios. He supports local and international companies in strategic decisions about their intangible assets, not only from a registration or litigation standpoint, but also in terms of their commercial, reputational and competitive value.

Education

Law degree, Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Caracas. Intellectual property studies at McGill University, University of New Hampshire School of Law / Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property and Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas, as well as advanced management studies at Concordia University, Montreal.

Beyond the office

Enjoys sports, reading and time with family. From 2019 to 2023 he was Director of Operations of a Miami-based NGO that uses football, through its own methodology, as a tool for the social and emotional development of girls and teenagers in vulnerable communities.
